Pan collar

The joining principle of all connectors is the formation of watertight and airtight seals created by multiple plastic and elastomeric flanges compres-sed against the inside of the soil pipe and the outside of the pan spigot,

Check that the connector is the correct size for the pan outlet and soil pi-pe.Minor variations in pan spigot and soil pipe sizes can be accommodated by the plastic and elastomeric flanges.If the pan outlet or soil pipe is considerably under or oversized,an appropriate size connector should be Flexible connectors are designed to seal without the use of solvent.The ins-ide of the soil pipe should be reasonably clean and smooth.just push the connector spigot firmly into the soil pipe,ensure that the pan spigot is centrally aligned with the connector and push it fully in through the sealing flanges.Always ensure that the sealing flanges fold inwards as shown in

Fig.1 to effect a positive seal.To ease fitting of connectors onto pan spig-ot and into plastic pipes wet outside of pan spigot and inside of plastic pipe with clean water.

It is important that the elastomeric and plastic sealing flanges fold inwar-d as shown in Figure 1 to ensure a positive seal.
